Homeownership Program

The Welcome Home Niagara homeownership program offers 5% down payment assistance, through a forgivable loan, for low to moderate-income residents who rent in the Niagara region and want to buy a home.

March 2019 Federal Government Announcement

The Federal Government has announced the First Time Home Buyer Incentive Program. This program is designed to help eligible Canadians purchase their first home. This fund cannot be combined with Housing Services existing Welcome Home Niagara Homeownership Program. Information on how eligible households can access the Federal program will be available in the fall of 2019.

Need help with your Electricity Bill?

Beginning on January 1, 2016, The Ontario Electricity Support Program will provide an ongoing monthly rate reduction directly on the bills of eligible low-income electricity ratepayers. Eligible ratepayers may receive a maximum credit of up to $50 per month.
