Quotes:

"Every Canadian deserves a safe and affordable place to call home. Our government continues to work with our provincial partners, including the Government of Ontario to find ways to create more affordable homes that meet the needs of Canadians, including right here in Niagara Falls. This is one of the ways our National Housing Strategy continues to ensure no one is left behind."
Chris Bittle, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Member of Parliament for St. Catharines

"Our government's policies have delivered historic results in getting more housing built faster and complement our nearly $4.4 billion investments over the past three years to grow and enhance community and supportive housing, address homelessness and respond to COVID-19. We have also strengthened mental health and addictions supports for people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness. Ensuring all Ontarians have a home that meets their needs and budget, especially our most vulnerable, is a top priority for our government."
Honourable Steve Clark, Ontario's Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing

"The shortage of housing supply impacts everyone. Our government is committed to supporting vulnerable Ontarians through the Ontario Priorities Housing Initiative and by working diligently with all levels of government. Everyone deserves a home that meets their needs and budget."
Honourable Michael Parsa, Ontario's Associate Minister of Housing

"Our government is working hard to ensure every person in Ontario has access to safe and attainable housing. The province continues to work with our regional partners, including the Niagara Region, to find ways to create more attainable homes that meet the needs of local residents. The completion of these new affordable units in Niagara Falls is part of that commitment."
Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West

"With housing continuing to be one of the most urgent challenges of our time, the announcement of 73 new affordable units in Niagara Falls is a welcome addition to our community and will make a measurable difference in the lives of the residents who now have a place to call home. This term of Regional Council has made historic investments into affordable housing, and along with other levels of government, we continue to ensure that as many people as possible have a place to call home. On behalf of Regional Council, I want to thank the federal and provincial government for their significant investment in this project – projects like this demonstrate that when we all work together the people of Niagara benefit."
Jim Bradley, Niagara Regional Chair

"We know how critical making affordable housing available is to the success of our community. Most importantly, this will lift up families who need support. We are pleased to be a part of this development and thank the Government of Ontario and all of the partners who made this happen."
Jim Diodati, Mayor of Niagara Falls

"We truly appreciate the continued commitment to increasing affordable housing stock that our federal, provincial and regional governments continue to show. Their ongoing investment in affordable housing is what allowed NRH to move forward and maximize unit potential through two beautiful apartment buildings developed on Hawkins Street and Heximer Avenue in Niagara Falls; two buildings that individuals and families are now able to call home."
