March 2019 Federal Government Announcement

The Federal Government has announced the First Time Home Buyer Incentive Program. This program is designed to help eligible Canadians purchase their first home. This fund cannot be combined with Niagara Regional Housing's existing Welcome Home Niagara Homeownership Program. Information on how eligible households can access the Federal program will be available in the fall of 2019.

Niagara Renovates Program

Homeowner

A program that assists low to moderate income households in Niagara with repairs and/or accessibility modifications to their homes.

To apply, print and complete the application form(English) /(Francais).

Secondary Suites

A program that funds the creation of secondary suites in single family homes. A secondary suite is defined as a self-contained, separate unit with sleeping, full kitchen and bath facilities and a separate entrance.

Multi-Unit Landlord

A program that provides funding to owners of rental properties in Niagara to assist in major repair of units and accessibility modifications.

Need help with your Electricity Bill?

Beginning on January 1, 2016, The Ontario Electricity Support Program will provide an ongoing monthly rate reduction directly on the bills of eligible low-income electricity ratepayers. Eligible ratepayers may receive a maximum credit of up to $50 per month.
