Executive Committee
The Executive Committee provides support to the NRH Board of Directors through budget review and monitoring and approval of monthly and quarterly reports and consultation/advice on operational issues.
The Executive Committee consists of 4 directors, who are elected by the Board.
Tender Awards Committee
The Tender Awards Committee reviews, evaluates and awards NRH public tenders and change orders within the established contract value ranges.
The Tender Awards Committee consists of 3 members:
- 1 NRH Board director
- 1 NRH Manager, Housing Operations
- 1 NRH Capital Works Manager
Governance Committee
The Governance Committee provides advice and support to the Board of Directors on matters related to governance and policy.
The Governance Committee consists of:
- 3 directors of the NRH Board
Applicant/Tenant Appeals Committee
The Applicant/Tenant Appeals Committee reviews and makes decisions on appeals from applicants and NRH tenants regarding eligibility, priority status, withdrawal of Rent-Geared-To-Income and urgent transfer status.
The Applicant/Tenant Appeals Committee consists of:
- 1 NRH director
- 2 of the following:
- Representative of the Provider Advisory Group
- NRH Manager, Community Programs or NRH Manager, Housing Programs
- A representative of the Niagara Region
Investment Committee
The Investment Committee assists the NRH Board of Directors through review of investment reports and financing vehicles.
The Investment Committee consists of 3 directors of the NRH Board.
Community Advisory Group (CAG)
NRH’s newest advisory group, the Community Advisory Group (CAG) provides advice and guidance through think-tank sessions designed to explore opportunities to improve and enhance NRH programs and services.
The Community Advisory Group (CAG) consists of:
- 2 NRH Board directors
- 3 NRH Staff
- 3 - 4 Members of Community Agencies
- 1 - 2 Representatives from the Public
- 3 Developers
- 3 Municipal Planners
- 1 Representative from Niagara Region’s Integrated Community Planning
Provider Advisory Group (PAG)
The Provider Advisory Group (PAG) acts as a liaison between housing providers (ie. providers of non-profit and cooperative housing) and the NRH Board of Directors. The group reviews new policies, procedures and guidelines affecting housing providers, identifies relevant issues of concern and advocates for providers.
The Provider Advisory Group (PAG) consists of 9 members:
- 1 NRH Board director
- 2 members of cooperatives
- 1 representative of Federal Non-profit agency
- 1 representative of an aboriginal agency
- 1 member of a supportive agency
- 3 memberships from any of the above categories
Tenant Advisory Group (TAG)
The Tenant Advisory Group (TAG) acts as a link between tenants and NRH. Tenant Advisory Group (TAG) meetings are held in communities across Niagara and form an open dialogue between tenants and NRH on policies, procedures, guidelines and service needs.
The Tenant Advisory Group (TAG) consists of:
- 1 NRH Board director
- 11 tenants
- NRH staff
